Despite its size, NEX-C3 performs like a pro. On board is a large and powerful 16.2 megapixel Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor enabling you to take D-SLR quality images with intense colour, rich tonal gradation and subtle background defocusing effects. This sophisticated sensor is identical in size and performance to those used in Sony α digital SLR cameras and more than 13 times larger than the 1/2.4" sensors found in most digital compact cameras. Which is over 1 and a half times bigger than micro four thirds cameras. Combined with an advanced BIONZ™ image processing engine, the sensor provides crystal clear imaging with exceptionally low noise.
The NEX-C3 has a 16.2 megapixel Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor which means you capture more in every shot.

Put off by too much complexity? With NEX-C3, anyone can experience the artistic satisfaction of creative photography. The easy-to-use Photo Creativity interface gives quick access to a range of creative settings simply by pressing the centre button on the control wheel. Seven different functions and settings can be accessed via the control wheel including Picture Effect, Background Defocus Control, Soft Skin Effect, Color, Brightness, Vividness and Self Timer or Continuous Advance. The effects of various settings can be viewed in real-time on the LCD monitor for ease of operation.
The easy-to-use Photo Creativity interface gives quick access to a range of creative settings simply by pressing the centre button on the control wheel.

Shoot D-SLR quality images with intense colour, rich tonal gradation and subtle background defocusing effects. This sophisticated sensor is identical in size and performance to those used in Sony a digital SLR cameras and more than 13 times larger than the sensors found in most digital compact cameras and over 1.5 times bigger than the sensors found in micro four thirds cameras. Combined with an advanced BIONZ™ image processing engine and high ISO sensitivity (ISO 100–ISO12800), the sensor provides crystal clear imaging with exceptionally low noise, even in low light.

Capture your memories anyway you choose. Press the MOVIE button to film HD 720p High Definition videos in razor-sharp detail with stereo sound, even in low light. Still pictures are clear and precise with 16.2 megapixels and the freedom to utilise a wide range of E-mount interchangeable lenses. You can also shoot high resolution landscapes in 3D with 3D Sweep Panorama. This impressive feature captures two Sweep Panorama images from a single series of photos, then creates a 3D image up to 23 megapixels in size for viewing on a 3D compatible TV.
