1989–1990 Fender American Standard Stratocaster – Aged Vintage White
Up for sale is a beautiful, early-era Fender American Standard Stratocaster dating to 1989–1990, finished in an iconic, naturally aged White/Ivory.
This guitar comes from the highly regarded early period of the American Standard line (introduced after the CBS buyout), known for superb build quality and classic feel. It features a resonant alder body, a smooth maple neck with the classic walnut "skunk stripe," and a dark rosewood fretboard with dot inlays.
The guitar plays beautifully and comes housed in a heavy-duty, black moulded hard plastic flight case for maximum protection.
Specifications:
• Year: 1989–1990 (Serial: E 965278)
• Model: American Standard Stratocaster
• Origin: Made in U.S.A.
• Finish: Aged White / Ivory
• Fingerboard: Rosewood
• Pickups: 3x Original Fender Single-Coils
• Case: Included (Black Moulded Hard Shell Flight Case)
Condition Notes:
- Neck Pocket Finish Crack: There is a minor, hairline finish check in the lacquer extending from the upper corner of the neck pocket on each side. This is incredibly common for Fenders of this era; it is strictly cosmetic, completely stable, and does not affect the structural integrity of the wood underneath.
- Body Wear: The back shows some authentic, honest buckle rash and light surface scratching concentrated around the tremolo backplate from decades of use.
- Fret Wear: The frets show honest player wear consistent with a vintage instrument, including some flattening and light pitting/indentations under the strings. Still fully playable, but would benefit from a routine fret dress/polish down the line if you prefer perfectly pristine crowns.
