Arion SDI-1 Stereo Distortion (1980s, Japan/Sri Lanka)
Original box & manual included — no AC adaptor
The Arion SDI-1 Stereo Distortion is an analog guitar effects pedal from the 1980s, first produced in Japan and later assembled in Sri Lanka. Designed as an affordable yet versatile distortion, it delivers heavy, high-gain tones while offering stereo output options that set it apart from other pedals of the era.
Its dual outputs allow for standard mono use or stereo rigs. With the Direct/Soft switch, players can choose to send the same distorted signal to both amps or split the sound between one distorted and one clean channel for a wide, layered soundstage.
A predecessor to Arion’s Metal Master, the SDI-1 is lightweight, easy to power, and sought after for its unique stereo functionality.
