Dr Martens 'Church' Mens Mod Revival inspired 'Church' Monkey Boots in stylish black perf suede. Dr Martens have delved into their archive to re-work an original Heritage design. This 'Church' Monkey Boot features a soft suede upper, authentic air wair sole and iconic Dr Martens heel tab. Retro classics for the contemporary Indie era! The monkey boot - a Mod favourite - started out as standard issue attire for the Czechoslovakian Army during WWII. They were perfect for the job with their durable construction and slender silhouette. They were unlike any other boots around at this time. When Dr Martens first started to manufacture the boots for the fashion arena they were specifically for children, made from let-over leather which was from a local factory that had just closed down. The same durable, slimline Retro style has been re-made for this new collection.

However, while staying true to the iconic 'Church' design these are no ordinary DMs. The soft suede upper carries a fab perforated design. While it still carries Dr Martens' trademark cushioned sole, they're moulded gum rather than the usual opaque. The yellow stitching, often found on DM Boots is replaced with a subtle tonal stitch. These boots are a fusion of all things Mod, somewhere between Suede Desert boots and Mod Revival monkey boots, Ideal for any causal Mod outfit.
