1983 Brilliant Uncirculated Coin Collection Heinz Version
The uncirculated coins in this collection are legal tender in the United Kingdom and have been specially packed in this exclusive presentation wallet for H J Heinz Company Limited by the Royal Mint.
This is an important year as no: (2 pence, 5 pence and 10 Pence) coins were issued for general circulation, so the only way to get hold of these 1983 coins is to purchase a mint folder.
The coins in this collection are uncirculated standard pieces. The metal used for each denomination is produced as a continuous strip directly from the furnace. The strip is rolled under pressure to the requisite coin thickness ad blanks are then punched out of the strip and annealed, that is softened by heating, and then washed and dried before they are passed to the coining press. The blanks are struck between pairs of dies which impart the design onto them. The uncirculated coins are carefully handled to avoid damage.
The set contains 8 coins as follows: 1/2p, 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p and the 50p.
The cardboard has some light wear around the edges.
