The latest announcement from the UK government on Monday 25th May set out plans for non-essential retail stores to open from Monday 15th June 2020.
In line with this new guidance, we are now planning a phased opening for our stores across England from this date in order to ensure the continued safety of our customers and staff.
Our stores in Scotland and Wales will reopen for retail customers once we receive further guidance from the Scottish and Welsh governments, however, we will continue to update customers on this as and when we receive new information.
To coincide with this, our webshop will also open on Monday 15th June and this will be available to customers across the whole of the UK.
Opening dates still subject to our stores being ‘COVID-secure’ – and you have our assurances that we’re working around the clock to ensure they are – as well as the containment of the spread of the virus across the UK.
As the number one high street retailer of pre-owned goods, we want to return to our local communities as quickly and safely as possible, and once again offer the products and services our customers need. But we also want customers to know they can shop and buy with confidence, and we will have all necessary protections and social distancing measures in place.
As previously stated in our earlier messages, if you have an agreement with us using either our pawnbroking, layby or buyback services, you have our continued assurance that the items relating to these agreements are being held securely and will be available when we re-open. You will not incur any additional fees if your redemption date is within the period when stores were closed and will have 10 calendar days to redeem or extend your buyback items.
If you are unable to visit one of our stores within this period, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and your local store will then come back to you directly. Alternatively, you can telephone your local store to agree alternative arrangements. All requests will be reviewed on an individual basis, with our customers’ safety as a priority. Please note that our social media channel inbox messages are not currently being monitored.
