The power of the Apple Event - new device on the mind?

On the 10th September, a long-awaited date for many, saw Apple launch their annual Apple Conference, which was packed full of exciting devices coming to the UK this year - are you counting the pennies?

Over the years, Apple have gathered such a strong following with such great products: providing us with smartphones, watches and tablets amongst much more, which we’re sure you can recall. They have us covered when it comes to tech.

It was at 6pm (UK Time) on the 10th September.

What was announced?

The iPhone announcements are always the key focus of the annual event, with so many of us owning an Apple iPhone. They have a 47.83% market share in the UK - it is incredible to think that nearly half the UK mobile users are on IOS devices. Are you reading this on IOS?

For those of you that don’t know IOS, it is the operating system that Apple phones use. Such numbers highlight the power of Apple and why the annual event is watched by so many worldwide.

Let’s get down to it… the Apple event saw the long-awaited iPhone 11 announced, which will be available in an amazing six finishes: red, black, yellow, green, white and purple. The phone is blessed with a 6.1-inch retina display, whilst also supporting Dolby Atmos surround sound and interestingly for all you camera fanatics out there, a dual-rear facing camera – a 12MP wide and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.

Other key features include the brand new A13 bionic, which is claimed to be the fastest CPU on the market, providing one more hour of battery life in comparison to the iPhone XR - handy for heavy users of the smartphone, that’s one more episode of Netflix!

Apple released the fifth generation of the Apple Watch with an alwayson Retina display. The battery life lasts an amazing 18 hours with various

As you can see from the two main announcements, there are plenty of things to look forward to with other devices/services such as: 7th gen iPad, Apple TV+ launch (1st Nov) and the Apple Arcade.
