The weather almost certainly turns your head towards your garden. Did someone say BBQ? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, let’s get BBQ ready in time for much more of this wonderful weather we have enjoyed.

Like most things, preparation is key when it comes to getting BBQ ready, here is our Cash Converters BBQ ready plan:

Tidy up!

To truly make the most of your garden, we need to understand what we are working with and so by tidying the garden we will be able to plan our perfect BBQ this season. It can be seen as tedious, however, it is what you make it - why not get a cleaning playlist to get you dancing or

you could even get your children to help for some pocket money? First step would be to de-weed the garden, remove any dead plants and water the plants to get them flourishing in time for summer.

Give the lawn some TLC

Does your lawn need a trim? Short back and sides? It’s time to think about giving your lawn the first cut of the season. It’s always worth considering using nutrients to get a greener, healthier lawn. Mowing the lawn regularly is advised but just a simple trim is healthy for your lawn.

Be ‘seedy’

Now that you have set the foundations for a great garden, get plating some beautiful summer bulbs and seeds ready to flourish in the coming months. Before you know it, you’ll have a tidy, colourful garden to appreciate and be proud to show over the summer.

Get furniture ready

Now that you have a great looking garden after your hard work, it would be a waste to admire from a far, so why not give your furniture some care. Have you got a bench that has aged? Why not give it some attention, give it a paint and varnish and before you know it, it’ll look brand new!

Time to be ‘grill’ ready

Nothing beats the good ‘old smell of a smoky BBQ in the summer, it’s time to get ‘grillin’. After months of neglect over winter, your BBQ might need some attention to get back into summer shape... much like ourselves really!

It is important when preparing for barbecue season to have an annual thorough clean but don’t forget to also clean after each use, makes it much easier in the future. Here at Cash Converters we would recommend taking the BBQ apart and cleaning it with warm, soapy water and most importantly get stuck in with a BBQ grill brush.

A top Cash Converters tip would be to attach an onion to a fork whilst your grill still has some heat and rub the onion over the bars. The water in the onion steam cleans them whilst removing any stuck-on food. A great ‘hack’.

These simple steps will help make your garden your pride and joy, you’ll be eager to invite your friends over for a BBQ again and again. All your hard work will be rewarded as the compliments just keep coming... we’re pretty sure that never get’s boring!
